기록해두지 않으면 까먹을 것 같아서.
예전에 '데드 식스'라는 비행슈팅 게임이 있었다. 아마 내 고등학생 초엽 쯤이었던 것 같다.
비행슈팅, 특히 현대적 기체를 배경으로 한 비행슈팅 게임이 없나 목말라 하던 차에 '데드 식스'가 나와주었다.
솔직히 말하면 게임성은 정말 조악했다. 속도감은 전혀 나지 않았고 그렇다고 미사일로 락온해서 맞추는 쾌감 같은 것도 매우 별로였다.
결과적으로 게임은 출시한지 얼마 되지 않아 서비스를 종료해버렸고...
다만 내 기억에 남아있는 로비의 배경음악이 너무 듣기 좋았다. 바로 그 배경음악이 지금 'Faraway So Close'이다.
찾아보니 버전이 두 가지다. 예전에 상상마당에서 <상상마당 밴드인큐베이터 1st 작품집: Beyond>라는 앨범을 냈는데 거기에도 들어있다. 본격적인 1집 앨범에 들어있는 음악과는 톤이 다르다.
안타깝게도 상상마당 버전은 멜론에서만 있는 것 같다. 멜론을 해지하고 유튜브 뮤직으로만 듣는데, 유튜브 뮤직에선 상상마당 앨범을 찾아볼 수 없었다.
1집 앨범을 내고 이후 활동이 없어 해체된 것으로 알고 있으나, 내가 듣기엔 1집 앨범 음악 대부분이 좋았다.
